Best GREEK restaurant? Best MIDDLE EASTERN restaurant?

My children love both Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine, but we are getting sort of tired of going to the same places all of the time (Astoria on Danforth, Jerusalem on Eglinton).

Does anyone have any good suggestions that are child-friendly and delicious?

Thanks.

  1. Pantheon is opposite the Astoria and has far better food. I have to say I don't like the Astoria, the service can only be described as rude.

Avli, also opposite the Astoria, is a wonderful Greek restaurant for that special evening.

Pan is also outstanding, but it's really a Greek/French fusion restaurant.

We recently ate at a Great middle eastern place on Queen near Leslie called Queen Pita. We also love Jerusalem and this place is not as nice in decor but the food is really fresh and the owner is a really sweet man. The prices are reasonable too!

We have found that Ellas on Pape at the danforth has great Greek food and as an added bonus one of the waiters looks like Anthony Perkins.

      1. Me Va Me on the NW corner of Bathurst and Steeles is very good mid east food, and good for the kids too. Good prices as well. Just thinking about it makes me want to go there right now.

Thanks for all of the recommendations.

Me Va Me was recommended to me before and I must try it. I hear they have take-out but can you also eat there?

You can most certainly eat there. It does get busy though.
