I just moved to Richmond Hill by Stoufville Rd and Yonge Street. Does anyone have recommendations for restaurants in the area? Favourite spots for good eats? I love all types of food. Thanks in advance!

I recomend going to Oregano's on Yonge just North of Elgin Mills. It's small, casual fine dining, and they serve thin crust wood burning oven pizzas and amazing homemade pastas! Huge portion sizes too!

For a special occassion you should go to Terra. We had a fabulous meal there. Everything was exeptional! However, it is very expensive.

For a casual meal (we like breakfasts), we take the kids to Paul's at Yonge and Bond St. (just south of King Rd.). It's a family type place and we like to walk there in the summer for ice cream.

In the same area, I've heard that Punzo's is good for Italian, and for a great pizza, try Pepino's on Yonge St. just north of Kind Rd.

There's a Thai place (I believe simply called "Thailand") on the west side of Yonge, just a little north of Major Mac. You can park on the street....but there is also parking at the back. Beware though.....the entrance to the parking lot is quite tight and is about 1-1/2 lanes wide....BEEEEEP!!!

The owner is going with his wife back to Thailand starting this weekend and will be back in February.

They have good pad thai and wonderful decor.
