Best restaurant to dine alone?

cardamom Dec 7, 2003 01:23 AM

I don't know if this has been addressed before. Which restaurants are you most comfortable eating alone in-- provides the best atmosphere and service (as well as food) for the solitary customer. For example, I wouldn't eat at Herbs alone. It is definitely a group/company restaurant. However Le Paradis is very good for the single person. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and you can concentrate on the food.
What are your selections?

I would eat at the Frecklebean on McCaul alone - the owners are friendly, so it's not really like you'd be lacking for company.
