Went to a fantastic halloween party at monsoon. Had some finger foods at the party. Very nice but I've never been there for dinner nad had always wanted to try.

Any reviews? I read that they serve upscale pan-asian fare.

btw, here are photos from the party. guess which one i was. http://fotki.com/digitalimprints

candy bar provided by the hostess throwing the party was an excellent touch!

  1. Monsoon is about the best all-around restaurant in the area - but not cheap. They've had several chef changes and my last visit was about a year ago, so can't say what it's like today.
I'd risk it if you have plenty of room on your credit card - and please post your review.

    1. Its been a while since I have been there but the last time I was there (about a year), I enjoyed it.

      Got to love the bathrooms.

      1. re: Kimmy

now I'm curious, what's up with the bathrooms?

      2. I went there for my anniversary this year (I had a gift certificate)and was pleasantly surprised. The place was fairly quiet (it was pretty early)and I found the service to be very attentive. But I don't know what it would be like on a busy night.

It was a while ago so I will forget a number of parts.

I ordered the tasting platter and my partner ordered the tuna. We split the appetizers on the tasting platter which worked out quite well. The rare tuna was perfectly cooked and was really good quality. And the desserts were amazing! If they have the Chocolate Eutopia (I think that was the name) you must try it!

As I recall I was impressed with pretty much the whole meal. But the others are correct in saying it was expensive! I think the meal came to over $200. But keep in mind the tasting platter was about $90 or so...

So if you go let us know how it is.
