Has anyone been to this in the past? I have looked for info on Fodors.com and found a bit. How much do the "tastings" cost? Is it good quality or "food building at the ex" kind of fare? Apparently the tickets are $15 but the tastings, presentations etc are extra.

I went to this show 2 years ago. I can't say it's really worth it for the $15 on top and then pay per tasting, but its not CNE food level.

I did have a nice duck dish when I was there. There's also wine/beer/ciders and such.

Costs run between 2 and 5 dollars. I think what you do is put money (ie. 20 dollars) onto a card - and then all the booths have scanning devices which they use to scan your card and take money off - it then tells you the balance you have left on the card.

i went two years ago as well. its not cheap (at least for my starving college student status) the portions arnt that large (then again, you're there to sample, not feast - unless you got the funding) some of the foods pretty interesting though. Boar, osterich etc etc. If you've never went, try it out, but be prepared to set a budget - it can get pretty pricey.
