Royal Angkor

Help! There is (was) a great thai restaurant on Yonge just north of Bloor called the Royal Angkor. The owners closed up shop in early August and were supposed to be moving into the Wellsley and Parliment area and the rumor was it was going to be called "Golden Chicken" restaurant. I had a friend run into the owner a couple of weeks ago and she said that she was now looking at opening up a place near the orginal Rosedale location. Anyone have any information on this? Myself and a group of friends are going through withdrawals.

I just spoke with Nady (owner of the Royal Angkor) and she has said they will be re-opening in early December. No news on what the new place will be called but when I find out, I will post it on this site. The new restaurant will be located at St Clair and Oakwood (which is somewhere near dufferin). If you are a fan of Thai food, it is well worth the drive!

Royal Angkor will be re-opening this Friday as:

            Khmer Thai
1018 St. Clair Ave West (somewhere near Dufferin)
            416 654 0609

There will be a deal for $10 if you show up on Fri or Sat.
