I love going out for weekend brunch and Toronto has a variety of great places to go. I am always looking for new ones so where are your favourite spots?

Mine are:

Xacutti on College between Bathurst and Spadina: For their cheesy french toast and tandoori home fries. The food is great butI don't love the uppity atmosphere in here.

Saving Grace (Dundas/Bellwoods) - For their raisin bread, avocado, and old white cheddar sandwich. Spectacular. The waiter David, who calls everyone "babe" is a hoot too.

Easy - (Roncesvalles/Queen W) - Great fritattas and blended drinks. Also have a delicious spicy jam that can be bought for take out in a jar.

Other great brunch spots: Hello Toast (Queen East), Bonjour Brioche (Queen East), Mitzi's (Sorauren), Mildred Pierce and Azul (Queen/Bathurst).

  1. I'm a fan of Le Petit Dejeuner - 191 King St. E, just W of Sherbourne. Very friendly owners, good apple pancakes, and they do a little salad of apple & pickle as a garnish that I love! As the name would suggest the menu is focused on breakfast/brunch foods.

For brunch I like ot go relaxed and downscale. I like Tulip (on Queen E. near Coxwell) for steak and eggs, and the Tex-Mex brunch at Sneaky Dee's is really satisfying after a long night out.
