Need a good seafood/fish restaurant in either College West or Queen West area or east to the Beach for Vancouver visitors

    Chiado - 864 College

    Chiado's less-expensive brother restaurant:

    Adega - 33 Elm St.

    Both excellent.

Just returned from Chiado - excellent meal! Thanks for the tip. We'll definitely return for more superbly grilled fish.

Glad you enjoyed it. It's always top quality seafood there since they actually fly in their fish fresh from the Mediterranean.

Any highlight stand-outs from your meal that you'd like to share?

I prefer Cataplana at College and Dovercourt.

Perla is a family run place on College W. and is frequented mostly by Portuguese clients. Grilled squid is very good and other fish dishes are good as well. Veg accompaniments are mushy, but fries are good. Prices are cheap, but the fish is always fresh.
        Wines are Portuguese and inexpensive.
