Really good falafel?

Does anyone have any recommendations for really good falafel in the city, preferably downtown? Thanks!

The other posters didn't mention the good falafel places DOWNTOWN like you asked.

    I can recommend two:

    1) Mystic Muffin at Richmond and Jarvis. Falafel's are good but the owner who makes them is hilarious.

    2) Ghazale on Bloor St next to the Bloor Theatre between Spadina and Bathurst. I think these are the best in the city.

They are both reviewed on my website.

Although my recommendation for great falafel isn't downtown, I would recommend the trip to this place. The place is called "What a Bagel" (Note - if you're there, check out their bagels/other baked goods; they're great!). The place is located in Thornhill, at Bayview and Laureleaf, in the Longo's plaza (on Bayview, on light south of John).

our family agrees that the best falafel is that at Sababa, on Steeles Ave. between Yonge St. and Bathurst St. Can be taken out at a ridiculously low price at the take-out side, or enjoyed with other delicious stuff at the sit-down restaurant of the same name. Wonderful!

In case someone wants to know where the best falafal is, it's in Mississauga at Tarboosh Restaurant, 3050 Confederation Pkwy. 905-949-0222.(West of Hwy.10, just north of Dundas W.) Delicious family restaurant with good prices and great food!

Sorry, but I've eaten there many times and I've never seen a hookah. You might be thinking of Sultans Tent that is on Hwy. 10 just north of Dundas St. W. I was there once and it's a bit spookey, with strange customers and the food was just okay.
