What restaurants do you all suggest in the Queen/Spadina area?

Hey everyone...

I need your help! I'm planning on going out for dinner with a bunch of friends... we're planning on going downtown (in the Queen/Spadina area... close to the Chum City Building)... do you have any suggestions of good restaurants around there? I don't want a very pricey restaurant (between 10-15 bucks a plate is reasonable). We're looking for a restaurant that will be enjoyed by everyone (so, NO STRICTLY ethnic food-restaurants... however, I don't mind if they have some ethnic food choices on their menu).

PLEASE help!! All suggestions are welcome!!

Thanks!
~Nina~

Oooops... I forgot to mention that the restaurant should NOT be for ONLY legal age. I have a friend who is 18 and I can't exclude her from the night out...

    Any suggestions??

Try Jules... it's your best bet.

You can try the Peter Pan Bistro at Queen and Peter. Decent food and plates are in the range that you specified. In addition, there are Sushi joints all around (Sushi Time, Sushi Bistro, Sushi Place).

There is also a French Bistro called Jules on Spadina, about a half block south of Queen. It might be a few dollars more pricey than what you are looking for, but it is pretty good.

There's an Amato's pizza place at Queen and Bathurst, and New York Subs is right near there, too. I recommend both.
