ice shavers and neat syrup?

lissar May 1, 2003 08:55 AM

I saw an ice shaver for about $16 at the Tap Phong trading company, and I'm wondering if it'll be good for making snow cones. Does a Chinese ice shaver produce decent snow cone textured ice?

Also, where can I get neat flavouring syrups? When I do get an ice shaver I'm going to pick some fruit flavoured ones up at Sun Valley, but is there anywhere besides Starbucks where I can get pina colada, vanilla, almond, lime etc.?

I'm so very, very excited about having our own message board! Woohoo! w00t!

I was at the Second Cup yesterday in the Beaches and they had a number of different flavours of italian syrup (the kind that I see in pretty much every italian cafe). So you can probably find it at any Second Cup.

    Good luck
