Food Trip Help: Dusek's or Longman and Eagle for Brunch?

  • 4

I am gradually piecing together a food itinerary for a 40th birthday trip to Chicago in several weeks. Both Dusek's and Longman & Eagle look outstanding to me, and I am even considering going to both, despite their overlap. But, if I did need to choose one or the other, which should it be? Thanks!

  1. I would choose based on where I was staying; both are great and same owner, but several miles away. Go with what is more convenient geographically.

Maybe its the venue (the story, location, etc.) but I've had two meals at Dusek's that were both better than the couple (albeit over one year ago) I've had at L&E. Both are excellent though.

    2. I vote for L & E. Their Smoked Salmon Benedict is sublime. I have not had brunch at Dusak's.

      1. Having been to both recently, I would favor Longman. That said, as Gonzo stated, if you're closer to Dusek's, you certainly can't go wrong.
