Instant mashed sweet potato flakes?

  • 5

I noticed that cases of Betty Crocker instant mashed sweet potato are sold on Amazon. They are in 3oz. packets. I'd like to try them but don't want a case. Has anyone ever noticed this or another brand at Boston area supermarkets and if you've tried them, how were they?

I had started reading through them, but gave up because so many of them were reviews of a different potato produce, not the sweet potatoes. I don't know who screwed up, but sliced potatoes and bubbling cheese? That review is for au gratin, surely. Then there was mention of Yukon Golds.... it was like a Yelp nightmare! For the time being (we'll see how the free advertising posts go), I find CH opinions more reliable.

    2. I've seen it by the box at my local Market Basket and recently during my MB boycott at my nearest Shaws.

I've never tried it, or even thought about trying it.

What I do want to try is the Betty Crocker Skillet Hash Brown Potatoes. To me making shredded hash brown potatoes feels like it takes forever.

Thanks - I'll check MB. There are 3 of them in my town and another 7 within a 10-mile radius!

They were out of them today at the MB I shop at, as well as a lot of other things still.
