Greetings from a regular on the Toronto board! I posted a thread on the Canada board but didn't receive much of a response (yet), so I thought I'd repost here. I'm heading to the Laurentians next month and am looking for recommendations for restaurants and agri-tourism destinations (breweries, cidreries, apiaries, cheese factories etc.) I'll be staying in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, but will have a car. Thanks in advance!

Hi Dave, thanks again for your suggestion. I did check out the site and it'll be an excellent resource!

As to my requests, I was simply hoping for additional first-hand, objective experiences from other posters. The site you referred me to is great. However, being a marketing tool (and one that probably charges a fee for listings) it doesn't tell me HONESTLY whether particular venues/restaurants are worth a visit.

That's all. I didn't mean to belittle your recommendations in any way -- I definitely intend to visit the restaurant you mentioned, and hope it's in or near Ste-Agathe so I don't have to worry about drinking and driving when I explore that kick-ass wine cellar!

L'Eau a la Bouche in Ste Adele and Le Clef de Champs also in Ste Adele are two excellent tables in the region. IMHO dinner at Hotel Le Quintessance in Tremblay is also A1

Hy!! Hope i'm not too late, check out La Quimperlaise in Ste-Agathe, really simple place but they make great crepes.

Also check oun Miss Patate, sounds (and looks) really crummy, go there for lunch and have a vege-burger, the best i've ever had (and i'm not vegetarian). It's on highway 117 near St-Faustin, right before Mont-Blanc. It really does look like nothing... Bring cash

Also in Mont-Tremblant (St-Jovite), Le Cheval de Jade is good. Restaurants on the mountain aren't that great and really expensive and snobby. You're better off staying in the St-Jovite village.

Hope this helps and that I'm not too late!

Thanks, marly! You're definitely not too late: I won't be there til late July (yes, I'm a card-carrying planaholic...) So if any other ideas come to you, let me know! I appreciate everyone's suggestions, and will definitely avoid Tremblant -- I've been to Whistler and Blue Mountain, and I suspect Tremblant will be another typical Intrawest resort...
Cheers,
Harissa
