With Jacq gone, who are the mods 'reporting to'?

Title says it all.

  1. If they told ya they'd have to kill ya.

    1. Me.
Well unless you have complaints, then they're reporting to somebody else.

      1. Why do *we* need to know?
Seriously. Not being snarky, but wondering why it would matter to any of us?

Well, Jacq's presence was known. Why not her successor? There are those who have wondered who's guiding the mods in these changing times.

I didn't sense any snark on your part.

Well, I kind of half expect a new "official person" will make an announcement thread on site talk soon. It seems like they do that with the comings and goings.

It seems kind of early at this point, to me.

Or maybe they will " spread the heartburn" and have several people take on the role :)

I get what you're saying. But who gets the final word, cause eventually the buck stops somewhere, doesn't it?

I dunno. Maybe the loosening of posting rules will apply to the internal mod structure. Maybe they will decide on a different chain of command altogether. Who knows?

Seems like there are a lot of significant changes going on. It is always interesting around here!

                  Hi, c oliver:

I agree. Knowing (or thinking we know) gives us at least a semblance of accountability. It's humanizing to have a screen name pop up, someone who's less than utterly cloaked. Jacq posted a lot, too, so we knew her as one of us.

CBS is nuts if they can't/won't/don't find another person like Jacq and make him/her the face of moderation.

                  Aloha,

Well, in that case...burning question....can I start a tipping thread?

                    Oh well.

That was the shortest tenure in Ch history.

                      Sweet.

And now I'm back in for my six-figure salary.

Yes, but you still don't get a t-shirt.

                    not like the old days

for me- anyway-it helps explain the changes in policies and communities.

                        Sorry. Buddy. I already applied.

Your luck just ran out. :)

Oh don't you worry Kevin, you've been on my radar awhile now. You'll be one of my first tasks. (joke)

Maybe in that case, I should just go the way of Sevrog.

                              Ok, I'll withdraw my application!
