Good choice, Gizmo! I also like Beach House (the old Foghorn) and Anrhony's deck is also sunny and warm. Any of the Lake WA bordering restos are nice on a warm summer day. Milagro has a big patio as well but is not right on the water. Same for Wild Irish Rover...

I'd like to give a shout out to Beach House, too. I was in the area recently, and while I ate well, not too many meals blew me away. And, frankly, I wasn't expecting much from BH. But four of us had an excellent experience there.

Their Beachhouse Paella was terrific. I almost never order paella, even in Spanish restaurants, but a friend was raving about it, and it looked so beautiful going by that I decided to order it. It had a lot of stuff in it--always worrisome as it's tough to get all the different proteins properly cooked--but they got it right, with nothing overcooked and even a nice soccarat. I was very pleased. Also delicious were the manila clams in a buttery sauce with pesto and pancetta. Another at our table reported that the sole was wonderful. The Caesar was quite good, and I also had a bite of a very nice salad with grapes and blue cheese. Certainly the best meal I had in the Kirkland/Redmond area.

          "...and even a nice soccarat."
          What is this?

soccarat = the crust on the bottom of the paella pan.
