What not to miss on Bowen Island

My daughter and I went over this afternoon with a 4yo. We didn't get far from the ferry terminal. We had a lunch that was really OK but nothing more.

What should we look for next time?

Well not exactly true. Maybe none that meet your exacting standards, SS.

We have friends who have a seasonal home on Bowen. They've been there since the early '90s. There have been many turnovers to the businesses, esp. in Snug Cove. But there are some notable current ones. In fact we were supposed to go over and visit them back in June but the trip was cancelled at the last minute. They had sent me a list of notable places to eat, in advance, knowing that's pretty much all I care about ;-)

Here is that list, good thing I saved their email:

      1) Rustique Bistro
      2) Miksa Restaurant
      3) Cocoa West Chocolatier Cafe

Thanks. I'm looking forward to going again. I think this time I'll take my car so I can see more of the island. And I'll look for those spots.

All the cafes/restos are along Bowen Isld Trunk Rd and its continuation as Grafton Rd once you past the top of the hill at Miller Rd/Dorman Rd:

It's a small hoof from the terminal to Miller (~ 3/4 mile) but certainly doable.
