Has anyone ever been here? Looks charming.

  1. No responses. We are going next Friday. Chef/owner was very helpful and friendly on the phone. You may remember him from In at St. Peter's. Will report back

I can't wait to hear your report. I get the menu emails, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

We had to cancel for tomorrow but are going on the 20th. Will report back.

    2. I've never been, and never heard of it before your post. I can recall going to a restaurant years ago in Coventryville called the Coventry Forge Inn. Is Martin's Kitchen, by any chance, in that same location?

I'm intrigued enough that I think I might try to get reservations for our anniversary next week.

It is in Coventryville, in the home of the former Inn at St. Peter's chef. Here is more information:

I did phone for a reservation, but there's nothing available until October. I'll have to find another place for our anniversary dinner.

After dining there last night for the Thursday night Supper, I highly recommend it. We are returning later this month for the weekend full dinner. Martin is a very talented chef, and his wife is lovely. The atmosphere, downstairs in their 300 year old home is charming. Quiet, small rooms and very nice music at just the right level. Sylvia, if you're reading this, I want you to know that the four of us were in a small dining room alone (only one table in that room - for four). It was quiet enough for our hard of hearing friend to be comfortable. There is a fireplace in that room that must be wonderful in the winter.
