Best lobster roll on Boston's Northshore?

We are visiting the Boston area, and looking for recommendations on the best lobster roll in the Northshore area. Thank You!

  1. Well if Winthrop is considered the north shore, Belle Isle which is just over the Boston line is a great choice.

      Do the boats pull up to the back of the restaurant?

        No but, they're are located close to the daily fresh catch.

    2. 2nd for Belle Isle. Farnham's has a good roll, better than Woodman's at least for that part of the North Shore.

        Unfortunately, Farnhams uses Cains mayo. I'm not a Cains mayo fan,

        1. Good posts... I always think the lobster rolls start getting good once you get past Portland, ME. Don't miss out on fried clams, another north shore specialty...and if you have some range, Chauncey Creek Lobster Pound in Kittery is a nice place to visit (BYOB)...

          1. There is also Kelly's Roast Beef on Revere Beach. In Marblehead, Both the Landing and the Barnacle have excellent LR's and harborside seating.
