Can't post from my computer anymore. Can't figure it out with CH (it isn't adblock). This is from my phone. That's why I haven't been posting.

Anyhow, the sad thing is that I haven't been to ANY of those three!

"Anyhow, the sad thing is that I haven't been to ANY of those three!"

that is sad...especailllllllly as much as fangirl over Paul...you should have enough faith in me by now...

          1. re: girloftheworld

Context of the article? You can't spell Houston generally considered to have much more depth, especially in ethnic, Italian, oh hell everything. Edit, you can have the food trucks, except for our taco trucks, asados de pollos.

            1. re: James Cristinian

correct me if i'm wrong, but it was "best new restaurants" not just best restaurants.

                "You can't spell Houston"

forgive me... typing in the car on my phone I am sure this offends your Houston-ness. actually I was wrong you did make the list with one. :) BUT.. we stillllll love you!

PS( I wont correct your punctuation because, I dont roll like that.)

I APOLOGIZE TO DALLAS AND SAN ANTONIO TOO

Girl of the World I'm loving you more every day and especially enjoyed your Galveston food contribution, but punctuation police please. I've read too many of your posts. Keep posting on the Houston board. I post on the Austin board because it's the best in the state, Houston, I love our few loyal folks, but along with DFW yawn.

                  1. re: James Cristinian

LOL---Hey you pulled "the spelling card" !
There issssss soooooo Much about Austin that is the "best" in the state!

And. H.O.U.S.T.O.N has some amazing food

                    1. re: girloftheworld

Dang it Girl you did it again. Houston is not all caps with periods in between each letter.

          2. Not to minimize the recognition for Austin, but how did you get 3 for California? There are 5 just in LA (made all sorts of news here) plus a few more in northern CA.

oopss ..have no idea.... where that count came from.. I may have mixed you up Cali with Oregon( our lovely "sister city") .. I kind of got sloppy... Sorry California..

              1. re: girloftheworld

is this turning into a hate on GOTW thread? if so I gotta ask when oregon became a city ;)

            2. I ate at Thai-kun the other night. Tried most of the items on the menu. They were all good, particularly the Waterfall Pork, but I don't know how the truck ended up their number eight new restaurant in the entire country based on that experience. It wasn't even my favorite East Side King experience.

i agree. it is pretty good but the hype around some of these places is starting to detract from the experience
