A few things to get off my chest ...

Triscuits, Peanut Butter and Marshmallows are better than traditional S'mores.

Coffee and ice cream (either as affogato or otherwise) is underrated.

As is kimchi on hot dogs.

A little bit of mustard in corn chowder goes a long way.

Don't snicker at clams and bacon on pizza until you've tried it. Twice.

Same with a glass of single-malt scotch (neat) with a plain donut.

I feel better now.

  1. I have never heard of Clams/Bacon on Pizza.

    That sounds very interesting.Triscuit's taste

      Triscuits have to be fresh, very fresh. They can go stale fairly easily, despite the preservatives used.

        ahem fresh out of the sealed bag.

        but I too have noticed that, after a day or so, they're worse than one of those shredded wheat breakfast things. (and I'm waiting to see those in the basket on 'Chopped')

            triscuts are my summer obsession.... triscuts baked in the oven with smokey swiss and chirizo yummmm...triscuts with cream cheese and sliced pineapple... triscutts with garlic butter hit under the broiler... triscuts with a cherry tomato and mozzarella... I told you this is SUmmer of the Triscut!

                Try making nachos with them: dollop of salsa, sprinkling of black beans, handful of shredded cheese, zapped till the cheese melts... yum!

                Now thats a first.Do you think Nabisco makes the Triscuits like this on purpose?It similar to the Potato Chip company only providing a half a bag of chips.I was told by an Employee of Granny Goose that it was for weight purposes.

                  Shredded cardboard, I mean triscuits, are always pre-staled. It's a laborious process involving soaking in stagnant pond water, and encouraging the growth of mildew. Then drying ouside on humid, cloudy, days. It improves the lack of taste.

                      Nabisco 'nilla wafers and butter, a childhood staple.

                        Now nilla wafers would be a good base for a s'more type cookie--maybe with pb and banana and marshmallow.

                          Only if those marshmallows are burnt to a crisp, inside still soft and pillow like, over a wood fire.

                          Shredded wheat , along with triscuits, are my go to foods. They are what I=love in breakfast cereals and crackers.

                  Clam and bacon is one of my favorite. Clam casino is one you can get at Modern in New Haven but it adds peppers.

                      This New Haven Native disagrees. Modern is too inconsistent. I much prefer Sally's or Ernie's or Zuppardi's....Pepe's is for the tourists.

                3. Serious Pie in Seattle has a pizza with clams, pancetta and lemon thyme on it. A group of us went and we ordered several different pizzas and it was by far my favorite.

                    There is a Pizza place called Cecilie's.This place has

                    a variety of Pizzas.We use to go to this Restaurant in

                    Berkeley CA. called Giovonie's.They had this pizza called

                    the Confusion Pizza.

                    1. I have done everything on that list except for the Triscuit and the scotch with the donut. I guess it's time to go and buy a box and some peanut butter.
