Paracress ...Brazil cress...Jambu...Toothache plant
Anyone know if this is commercially available?
I just had this vegetable in Brazil. It was served in a soup called Tacaca (which I didn't care for) and also on vatapa (a stew). It numbs the mouth and tingles the tongue. I love it! Eaten with hot sauce, it provides a "ma la" sensation like szechuan peppercorns/chile.
Have you had it? Any restaurants serve it? Anyone grow it? I would love to get my hands on this tasty plant!
