Seeking Great Shrimp Cocktail near Brentwood

Love the one at Gulfstream but looking for something closer, or at least further west rather than east from Brentwood. Thanks.

      1401 Ocean Ave., Santa Monica.
Also, have to believe the Hungry Cat would have a good one in Santa Monica Canyon.
btw - anyone know if Billingsley's on Pico has a good one. A place strictly from the "old school" world, yet it might. Would like to know.

It is safe to assume that Billingsley's sucks. One of the more depressing places around.

Hold your tongue. What could be depressing when Eddie Haskel comes in and says, "You're looking beautiful today, Mrs. Cleaver."

"what could be depressing"? They are all dead...

    2. Santa Monica Seafood.....

      1. That one at tacos puntas cabres is Mexican style but crave worthy.

        1. Really liked the one I had at Bandera recently.

Just realized that Gulfstream and Bandera are both in the Hillstone family of restaurants. So this may be right up your alley!

          2. According to wiki, the Beaver, Jerry Mathers, is still alive. And Tony Dow, Wally, seems to bee alive and still active in the biz.

And why should any 'hound care?

Billingsley's began as the mom's restaurant. Earlier comment about it being depressing, with the cast of "Leave It To Beaver" dead.

Shrimp cocktail => Leave It To Beaver, right?
