Best bottled Asian peanut sauce?

  • 2

I'm a fan of Asian noodles with peanut sauce, but my sauce never seems to turn out well. I'm looking for a good bottled peanut sauce to mix with noodles and vegetables. Last night I tried Stonewall Kitchen's Roasted Garlic Peanut Sauce, but it was way too spicy for this household! I was disappointed because I like many of their other products. I also don't like sauces that are too sweet. Thoughts on good ones? I live near San Francisco so I have easy access to many Asian markets. Thanks!

  1. I usually get the ones that are imported from Thailand (blanking on the brands at the moment).

    1. When I don't make my own (which I usually only do if cooking for a large group), I use Maesri brand Peanut Satay sauce from Thailand.

Comes in small 4oz. cans and usually around 99 cents a can at my local Asian markets.

Tasty and cheap. And no preservatives.
