Il Mecenate - Lucca, Italy - Report

I spent some time in Lucca a few weeks back. This was arguably the best dinner we had in the city—everything was well-prepared, using fresh ingredients, and for what it's worth, this place felt like the least touristy of everywhere we ate in the city. Here are some of the items that we ate:
I can't remember what this was filled with...maybe leeks and cheese? Crust was nice and flaky. This dish wasn't my personal favorite, but others really enjoyed it.
Focaccia with lardo
Really nice way to start the meal.
Budino of roast peppers
Very light, and was great for spreading on bread.
I can't remember much about this dish, unfortunately. But it was simple and good.
Roasted rabbit with potatoes
The meat fell off the bone easily, and was very tender. Again, a simple preparation, but very nicely done.
Pappa al pomodoro
I haven't had this dish very much, so don't have much to compare it to, but I thought it was very good. Lots of tomato flavor, filling but not too heavy.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. I'm sorry I didn't take better notes to remember more about the dishes, but hopefully the pictures will speak for themselves.
