Fritos "Lightly Salted" -- Thumbs Up

all the great flavor and crunch, less of the salt ((50% less sodium).

ladled some over chili for lunch. nice!

as far as i'm concerned, they could retire their original version.

now...i want the fritos scoops in this "lightly salted" version.

  1. I'd love to see lots more chip & cracker options in "Lightly Salted." We got a bag of tortilla chips last week that were inedibly salty.

Why do tortilla chips only come in tasteless-cardboard and mega-sodium versions? I'd love to see something in between. Kroger's sells lightly salted peanuts that are just about perfect.

give the tostitos multigrain chips or scoops a try. i don't find the scoops as salty as some other chips (don't use the chips).

i agree on the "oversalted" problem with so many snacks.

one thing i cannot drink, though, is the reduced sodium v-8 juice.

Make a Bloody M ary (tee hee) and add that salt right back in!

Heck, when you add vodka, who misses any salt anyway?

    2. We've been gravitating toward low-sodium a LOT -- not really health issues, just don't need it.

And yes, we're amazed at how much better things taste when they're not buried in a mantle of salt.

(Blue Diamond low-sodium almonds are amazing, too)
