Edison food jaunt? Need ideas please

  • 6

My daughter and I are planning a food jaunt through Edison. We have stops planned at Mithaas -- for sweets and Mings for Manchurian califlower. Kings Village is also on the list for dumplings. Where else would you go and what would you get there?

Thanks!

Food court in H-Mart has a Korean fried chicken joint which is really good (but the fries are totally generic).

I always recommend Wonder Seafood on Route 27, for outstanding Hong Kong/Cantonese, particularly fish and shellfish preps. They have dim sum every day during the day, weekends are extremely popular with a good variety available. Quality is excellent.

    2. The Asian Food Market in Piscataway is only about a 15 minute drive from Edison. An excellent selection of fruit and produce and a tremendous selection of Chinese ingredients.

HMart is right on Route 27. They also have a large selection of meats, fish, and produce plus a couple of food courts. Haven't tried the food courts, but have read good things about them.

      1. GRRRR...not loving mobile CH so much--I posted and it's not showing.
Google Floyd Cardoz Edison to find the article someone did in the last year --they hit all of his favorites and you can DEF trust those recs!

He visits the very well-hidden Karaikudi and Swagath Gourmet, both worthwhile stops on the jaunt.

My only question is how they can take so many shots of Oak Tree Road without me in them. I feel like I'm always there.

        2. I listed a bunch of places in this post: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/9635...

Also the Lamb BBQ place is a fun place to stop by.
