Cleveland; Private Dining Room for Ten?
- rainsux Aug 1, 2014 03:01 PM
After 25 years of loyal service, my employer is granting me a paid dinner/celebration. Perhaps this is a good time to visit Cleveland as it is mutually inconvenient for my invited guests.
Looking for a first-class meal, wine & service experience and a private dining room for ten where we won't be rushed out the door.
Do you have a price range and area of town? Downtown?
Table45 is one of Zach Bruell's restaurants located near Cleveland Clinic main campus
Steve Schmoler's Crop Bistro is in Ohio City, near the West Side Market
Michael Symon's Lola has a private room and is downtown
Just learned that the budget is only $750, whether two or ten. Thinking I will need to dial-back the guest list to 4-6 and give up on the dining room.
Re: your suggestions... I am sensitive to dining rooms that are overstuffed with tables and chairs... Also seeking a place where it is possible to have a conversation without any straining.
Thanks for the suggestions!
If you want conversation, then Crop is out. It's a beautiful space but all of the marble makes conversation difficult. What about Pier W in Lakewood?...see if you can reserve a table with lake view (seafood centric). You can do a nice dinner at Luxe (around 65th and Detroit in Gordon Square) which offers an option to do a lot of shared plates or individual entrees--whatever you prefer. There are so many great options around town.... A specific area, type of cuisine or feel (formal or uber casual) would help to narrow down the choices.
