does anyone know of a kosher restaurant open for friday night dinner preferable in the times square area.
Chabad of Midtown is the usual solution for Shabbat meals for travelers stay in in midtown hotels over Shabbat. I've never been, but I'm told it's posh.
One private restaurant that is open for Shabbat meals is Prime at the Bentley. On the East river, so only if walking appeals.
I don't know if it's the same chabad, but French chabad hosts dinners at the West Side Jewish Center on 34th and 8th.
You could; it caters to the young French emigre crowd. (A rapidly growing community) Chabad of Midtown caters to people attending conventions in the Times Square hotels serving the conventions center, and tourists.
The Bentley told us last week that they do not provide Shabbos meals.
Talia's on the Upper West Side.
