Interesting Breakfast Place Near U Delaware?

  • 3

We'd rather visit a good local breakfast place than scarf down mass-produced eggs at the hotel.

Anyplace near U Delaware worth a look? Thanks.

  1. If it is a Sunday at 10:30 AM, Wood Fired Pizza Shop has a great breakfast pizza with a runny fried egg. Free coffee too.

    1. Deer Park Tavern at the top of East Main Street has brunch on Saturday and Sunday if that works. The place has been around forever and the food is pretty darn good for a college tavern.

      1. Mary's Country Kitchen in Stanton (a few miles northwest of campus) is a family-owned, welcoming, old-school breakfast and lunch place. I love going here because the food is good, servers are experienced, attentive, and friendly, and prices are very reasonable. No buffet, everything quickly cooked to order. Small, non-descript place that only the locals know about.
