Hilton Head Island

My hubby and I will be vacationing in Hilton Head with our 2 kids (7 & 10 years old) in two weeks. Can anyone recommend some fun, kid friendly restaurants that we should try? All the boards that I can find are a little outdated. We love fresh seafood, good burgers and pizza, bbq, local dives. Our kids are really good about trying new things!
Also, we might take a day trip to Savannah. Any suggestions there?
Hilton Head is pretty much a wasteland. Few places sell fresh, local seafood. Most places are kid friendly though. You have to go into your trip with low expectations, when it comes to dining out.
I would recommend Frankie Bones, Guiseppi's Pizza (an Island institution),and Roastfish & Cornbread (although I haven't been in a long while - the sweet potato cornbread was always good). For local seafood I would suggest Hudson's, another island institution. The kids will love it as it is on the water and they sometimes have some kid entertainment out on the docks while you wait for your table. Nothing fancy, just basic local seafood.
If you like to cook, go to the local Piggly Wiggly at Coligny and get some local shrimp. There isn't much better than local Carolina shrimp.
Enjoy your visit!
