Looking for a recipe

  • 6

Whilst on vacation I discovered a tasty treat that is so good I keep dreaming about it.

It is a sweet dough, kinda like a flatish donut. It had a banana, apple, raisin and cranberry topping and was sprinkled with icing sugar. The bakery called it a "pothole". Any ideas what this could be? I'd love to try to make them at home.

  1. Makes me think of a beaver tail? (That's what we call them in Canada)

Definitely not a beaver tail, although it could be a play on the idea of a beaver tail.

    2. What city, which bakery? Perhaps send them a note and ask?

I'm thinking if the OP searches the local newspaper or regional cookbooks that would work too, sounds like a novelty specific to that area...

Perhaps you could contact King Arthur for info.
