Where can I find Valrhona cocoa powder?

  • 7

Where can I find Valrhona cocoa powder? I tried Whole Foods (the one in Union Square), Trader Joe's (in Chelsea), but no luck. I tried searching for it at Eataly!

Someone wrote in another post that they found it at Food Imporium on 68th & 3rd, but that was 3 years ago. Do they still carry Valrhona cocoa powder? There have to be other places that carry it.

  1. Why schlepp all over NYC when Amazon has it and you can have it next day.

I prefer to go to an actual store to buy it.

Because buying from an NYC bricks & mortar store slows (but doesn't stop) the process of turning the island into a sterile dystopia.

      2. Try this place:

        NY Cake & Baking Dist.
        56 West 22nd Street
        NY,NY 10010
        212-675-CAKE
        Hours Mon-Sat 10:00 am-6:00 Pm
        Sunday 11:00 am-5:00 pm

Just tried NY Cake & Baking Company and, although they carried it, it wasn't in its original box (they only sell it for $19.99 in plastic containers). But how do I know for sure that what they're selling is truly Valrhona cocoa powder and, if it is, how do I know that it's not past its expiration date. So, I gotta find that in its original box somewhere.
