Fish Market on the Cape

  • 8

Due to recent events regarding a certain fish market in the Sandwich area, we are looking for a new place.
Ideas? Thanks.

  1. The fishing pier at the Chatham fishermen's coop is very good.

    1. I would have automatically directed you to John's on the Canal....did something happen?

Joe's. Look at the Cape Cod Times.

      2. Nauset Fish and Lobster Pool in Orleans

That's a long drive from Sandwich for fish!!

        2. I've had good luck with the Cape Codder Seafood Market. They're on rte. 28 in West Yarmouth across from Captain Parker's. The prices aren't as good as that &*#@%! Joe, but the quality and freshness have been excellent.

          1. We ordered cooked lobsters from Cape Fish & Lobster Company in Hyannis a few years ago. The lobsters were delicious and what impressed my husband the most was when you walked in, if you were blindfolded, you would never know you were walking into a fish market. There was no fishy smell, which to us means everyting is REALLY fresh. We haven't been there in a while, but I hope it is still as good.

A bit more of a drive from Sandwich, but friends of ours have recommended George's in Harwich Port. Any CH opinions on George's? We'll be headed to the Cape in September, staying in West Dennis and need someplace that will steam lobsters for our annual surf and turf feast!

            1. We've had very good luck at both Falmouth Fish Market, and the Clam Man (which has a full range of fish, despite the name), both in Falmouth. Would happily recommend either.
