Mini Burgers

  • 7

I am hosting a party at my home in a few weeks and as part of a tapas menu I wanted to have mini burgers and possibly hot dogs (the standard size). I have called many catering companies but they either charge upward of $4 per slider and then a hefty deliver charge on top of that or they don't do stand alone orders. On top of that they say they can deliver the food, but then I have to warm up and assemble them!!! How am I going to find the time to do that in the middle of the party??

I'm wondering if anyone knows a restaurant or a catering business that could accommodate that without breaking the bank. I live in Richmond Hill so I'd specially appreciate suggestions in the area.

Thanks in advance.

If you don't want to do any heating or assembling during your party you'll either have to hire staff to do it or serve cold/room temp "tapas".

Im ok with serving room temp tapas. Any idea where I can get them at a reasonable price? At this point if anyone knows where to get the uncooked sliders I'll cook them myself.

        Loblaws, McEwans, etc..
You can always make you own "sliders". They're just smaller "things on a bun" 1-3 oz. Tons of recipe's on the interweb I'm sure.

Nortown in the Promenade Mall sells uncooked sliders at a reasonable price. Also, they carry the buns.

I just called Nortown and they told me they don't sell minis.

      2. I had a store bought pre-frozen slider at a friends once that I thought tasted very good for what it was. It was the Keg brand sliders and I remember her saying she got them at No Frills IIRC.

        1. Medium Rare in Etobicoke carries a variety of sliders (beef, bison, boar and chicken) that are made in-house. They usually come frozen and I am not sure if they would deliver or not. Best to give them a call.
