If you are exploring Ontario's West Coast, there is a newly established strawberry and blueberry farm at Grand Bend. Link:

  1. Thanks for the tip and link.

    1. Thks for the info. Seems like almost 3 hours drive from Toronto according to Google. Besides this any other berry farms, especially blueberries within 60-90 mins drive from Toronto. Wild/ organic would be better too.

Good luck finding anyone making a living picking and selling wild strawberries.

There are berry farms in the GTA, but they aren't convenient to Ontario's West Coast or Grand Bend. Some of the Chowhounds who post on this Board live/dine/shop outside the GTA, even though this Ontario board might be dominated by posts about food and restaurants in the GTA. ;)

Here's a berry farm in Newmarket, at the corner of Davis Drive and Woodbine, within an hour's drive of Toronto:

Try the Foodland Ontario site, yippy.

Not everyone lives in the GTA.

        2. Thanks, jayt90. Look forward to checking this place out next time I visit Grand Bend.

          1. To those further north in the Grey/Bruce area, check out Keyser's Fruit Farms. They had strawberries and sweet cherries on when we were there last week. Raspberries and sour cherries are on this week - we'll be getting a pitted bucket of cherries with no sugar. They will have various fruits from now till the end of the season. This is a great, no-gimmick place with great people and good prices. We were too late for eggs - they were sold out. Their flock actually roams through their fields which amazed me given the number of predators.
