Boarman's does a pretty good crab cake, as well as the steaks and sausage!
Highland Maryland is not exactly close to where I live, so I don't get to go to Boarman's that often, but when my niece is cooking a nice seafood boil, I figured I should bring an easy side dish. So I stopped by Boarman's Market and got us all a crab cake. They are just $5 each, and they are about the size of a baseball. The counter man said to mash 'em down a bit and broil each side for six minutes. Plus I had to get both versions of their italian sausage, hot and mild. They are both outstanding grilled!
So the niece warms up the broiler, tosses the crab cakes in and they came out just crusted brown on both sides and they were delicious! $5 for a very good, medium sized crab cake is a phenomenal deal in my book! They aren't quite as good as my favorite at Mama's on the Half Shell (broiled, not fried), but they are very tasty. Boarman's Market is just west of Rte 29, on 216, and well worth a visit. Next trip I want to try their rib eye again, that is one nice cut of meat!
