Looking for a odd restaurant in Nova Scotia

  • 5

Many, many years ago I was visiting NS and was taken to the neatest place. I remember it as being a lot like Ella's Deli in Madison, WI -- full of toys and whimsical decorations. I think there were things hanging from the ceiling that moved.

Google is utterly failing me. Does this place ring any bells? It might have been near Parrsboro and I think we also visited a senic outlook over a valley that was quite nearby.

Thank you!

  1. I'm unfamiliar with restaurants in the Parrsboro area, but what about emailing the town and asking? I found an email address on the town website: town@town.parrsboro.ns.ca

    1. I believe you are thinking of the diner that used to be near the entrance to the Blomidon Look Off/Cape Split. The name escapes me, but it closed several years ago. Perhaps DeeDee's?

      1. I think you are talking about the gift shop at the Look Off campgroud. It is on the other side of the street from where you stop to enjoy the view - http://www.valleytourism.ca/travel-di...

If that was the view, then that's the place!

It's not in the campground, but it is owned by the same people.
