Help Please: Rehearsal Dinner convenient to Troy, OH
This is a very preliminary inquiry. My husband and I, parents of the groom, will be hosting a rehearsal dinner. We're not local to Troy -- or even Ohio -- so we'll need a lot of advice. I don't yet know numbers, but, for discussion sake let's assume there will be 60 attendees.
The wedding will be at Lostcreek Memory Barn so that's out as an option for the rehearsal dinner. Are there any restaurants or wedding venues convenient to Troy that we should consider for a rehearsal dinner?
I'm looking for the obvious: well-prepared food and good service. I haven't specified a price range for the simple reason that we're so early in the process that I don't know anything about pricing in the area or the present day. (The last big event we hosted was some years ago and that was in an East Coast city.)
How far is Dayton from Troy? Are there restaurants/venues in Dayton that we should investigate? (I guess we could rent a bus for the trip. I know I'd prefer someone else do the driving on unfamiliar roads at the end of the evening and I suspect others would feel the same way.)
Thanks in advance!
re: Fibber McGee
I haven't been to Tipp City in a several months but at that time there was major construction on their main street (where Coldwater Cafe and many other restaurants and shops are). Parking was tricky then - it might be difficult for a party of 60 if the construction is still ongoing. If not, Coldwater Cafe would be a good option - nice atmosphere and a great local menu.
