I picked it up yesterday at the local Indian market, but there was no sign next to it. Does anyone recognize it? And which parts are edible?(Thanks in advance!).
It looks like fenugreek leaf/methi? I believe both the leaves and stems are edible, but if they're too "woody," I wouldn't use.
I think you're right, Pinehurst! I had no idea the greens were edible, though of course I've run into the seeds before. Thanks for the info!
Most of the (North) Indian recipes that call for spinach are really intended for methi. But I never see it outside of Indian grocers. It is delicious. Bon appetit.
I've found a red-lentil soup recipe to use it in tomorrow. Wish me luck!
