Rosedale/Summerhill suggestions please

I'm meeting some friends for dinner tonight and need a restaurant suggestion. I don't know the area that well. Was thinking of checking out Little Sister, but it's a bit out of my target zone.
Appreciate any suggestions? Just want casual, patio would be nice and good food.
Rosedale Diner has a small patio. I've been meaning to revisit, since it's been a long time since I last dined there. http://www.rosedalediner.com/
I like the food at Bar Centrale.
John & Sons is another casual option south of St Clair.
Haven't eaten at the Rebel House for a couple years. Anyone been recently?
Great beer yes!
But the food has dropped considerably in the past 2 years (IMO). But excellent patio.
Rosedale Diner has its moments - patio still good and food is better than Rebel House (not difficult).
Another option is Earth - more modern (less character), also a patio (but less attractive than either of the others) but food is best of three.
So: best food - Earth.
Best patio and beer - Rebel House
Most character and comfortable with competent food - Rosedale Diner.
Little Sister is worth the trip at some point. Pretty impressive for the opening two weeks! Terroni has a really nice roof deck, but you would need a reservation or be prepared to wait a while. John and Sons is nice, but the price points are somewhat higher than Rebel House or Terroni.
thanks for the recommendations...however, plans changed and friends wanted to go to zakkushi. nice little patio open, btw. but food was a little sub-par vs. previous experiences.
in any case, now I know some places in the rosedale/summerhill area.
