China: A Culinary Adventure

I plan to watch this, it looks very interesting.

"Ken Hom and Ching-He Huang cook their way across China in a visually rich culinary journey against the backdrop of ancient and modern Asia. Beyond a culinary odyssey, this will be an emotional homecoming, a cultural adventure, and an anthropological and historical road trip."

if anyone else wants to take a look here is a link to episode 1 of 4:

  1. Thanks! Bookmarked for future viewing.

    1. I saw it a few months ago and really enjoyed it!

      1. It's a great show, I really liked their presenting style - they made a good team and it was wonderful how they went off the beaten track to visit places that would be inaccessible to the average traveler.

        1. A Bite of China is much, much better.

Not sure if "better" is the right description. Somewhat different for sure.
I really enjoy watching both series. BOC has many more episodes. All excellent.
You need a rainy dreary Sunday. Bring in some chinese staples and settle down for the whole day and watch BOC. Have a note book handy. LOL

I agree they are both quite different so it isn't really fair to compare them

Bite of China and China: A Culinary Adventure are both documentaries that traveled all across China, exploring the different regional specialties.

How are they so different that we can't compare them?
