Reverse Wok / Mongolian BBQ / Korean Bulgogi (Use on an Electric Stove? - Tips and Uses?)
I am new to the boards but have been reading them for years.
Does anyone have any experience with using a cast iron Bulgogi stove-top grill pan on an electric stove? Other names for this pan (as I am finding online) are a reverse wok and/or Mongolian Grill.
This particular one is old (from the 70's) and I was hoping to use it in some creative ways (i.e. roast vegetables or grill flatbread etc.), but before I buy one tomorrow I would like to confirm that this is something that I can actually use on an electric (coil) stove.
Also - Anyone who has one and actually uses it ... do you have any tips in using it and/or have you found any quirky or alternative things to make with it?
Finally - Would you recommend this type of purchase for a foodie collection? (Not for hanging on the wall mind you, but for actually USING it).
I love cooking and I loooove McGyver. ;)
PS - The one I'd like to buy is very similar to this photo but the top of the dome has a small hole in it (it is not solid).
