Take Out in Lowell, MA

professor shorthair Jul 6, 2014 02:35 PM

We will be attending the Trombone Shorty Concert in Lowell. In the past, we would take out food from the South East Asian, but they are no longer open. Looking for suggestions.

Check out Hong Cuc for excellent Bahn Mi and bubble tea. Also China Star on Broadway has roasted pork belly and whole/half duck for takeout, I think you can order it as a "rice plate" to go which comes with veggies and rice.

Agreed. Hong Cuc on Middlesex and Grand has great banh mi, pre-made entrees and apps. It's also fast and cheap.

I stopped by China Star on Broadway for lunch today and had the roasted pork belly rice plate and the pork belly was excellent and for $7.75 it was a steal. I also got 1/2 crispy duck to go for dinner and this is also a steal at $12:50. Very nice people but they are lacking AC.

I looked up China Star and the address I found was 369 Broadway. Then I saw China Star Lounge at 1733 Middlesex St. Did it move from Broadway to Middlesex ST?

There's also a bakery adjacent to the Broadway location.
