Calgary Night Out

Hello Calgary Hounds. I am hosting a work get together in 3 weeks time on a Saturday night. I would like a upscale casual restaurant with interesting food and drinks and the ability to chill afterwards (like a pool table or music). Any thoughts? For about 10 people. Thanks!

  1. I recently had a group lunch at Brigg’s private dining room (it’s enclosed by glass near the kitchen and so it has the advantage of being quieter but, at the same time, it is not closed off from the rest of the restaurant) and I thought it was very good.

If you’re looking for further action later in the evening, Craft Beer Hall and The National are just down the street. The National, in addition to being a good bar, has a bowling alley in the basement which is always good for a laugh.
The only thing I would add is that although Brigg’s is a very good casual restaurant it probably doesn’t rise to the level of upscale. I guess, at the end of the day, it depends on your definition of ‘upscale’.

      Thanks....will try your suggestion

    2. Hello fellow Toronto Hound. I haven't been yet, but I can tell you that next up for me Calgary-wise is Model Milk. It has a creative menu, casual vibe, and is very well reviewed. I should be there around the same time as you. I'll look for the Max Webster t-shirt.
