    1. I saved this from a mention by CH'er Melanie Wong. This cafe gets their pastries from Patisserie Philippe, who now does wholesale. We haven't tried it yet, though:

      (In Marina Bay)
      Cafe Pascal
2181 Meeker Avenue (off Hwy 580 and East 23rd St.)
      Richmond, CA 94804
      (510) 233-9600
      Hours: 6:00am - 8:00pm daily

Must be South 23rd St. or Marina Bay Pkwy.

      2. Dim sum at Saigon Seafood Harbor, not until 11, though.

Sam's Log Cabin or Christopher's Nothing Fancy in Albany. On a weekday the traffic south on 80 is brutal.

Does Christopher's even have breakfast? I had dinner there last year for the first time in about 15 years and it was just as bland as I remembered. I couldn't find anything I wanted to eat and I had to ask for hot sauce. None of the salsas was even slightly spicy.

If I were having breakfast around there, I'd go to Rondezvous.

They don't open until 11:30, so I maybe I'm misremembering.

        2. You could get all the way to San Anselmo and MHBB or go to Berkeley for breakfast in 20 minutes from Point Richmond.

ok, what is MHBB, what do you rec in Berkeley? WE are tourists, driving around to eat is pretty much what we do, and we love breakfast.

                M. H. Bread & Butter

Not a breakfast place, but Ran Kanom in San Pablo makes the best Thai food in the Bay Area.
