Philadelphia area coffee roasters who sell their beans retail?

Not living in the city I feel out of the coffee scene. I'm looking to buy beans to grind up at home from a local roaster and I really don't know who sells beans retail. I know LaColombe obviously. Does anyone know of a website that lists all the local roasters?

Thanks for your help!

  1. Cafe Excellence is located in a business park off of Trooper Road in Audubon, PA, just minutes from King of Prussia. They have a factory store and sell many different types of coffees, beans or they will grind it for you. They roast the coffee at this location.

Wow never even heard of them. Thanks!

    2. you can order online from Old City Coffee

(I am not a fan of Cafe Excellence coffees, I'm not a total coffee snob, but what I've had from them just wan't to my liking

I am loathe to point anyone in the direction of the "Y" site, but to FIND something you can type in Coffee Roasters and your zip code and find places near you that roast their own beans

      1. Reanimator Coffee in Fishtown.
Also Peddler Coffee just started roasting and selling at 8th & Passyunk.

        1. You didn't say where you're located, but if you're in the western suburbs, Burlap and Bean in Newtown Square roasts often and sells their coffee in their cafe. I've also seen their coffee at Whole Foods in Glen Mills. One thing I appreciate is that they put the roast date on every package.

Philly Fair Trade Roasters is really good. They have them a few places including the Rittenhouse Farmer's Market:

          2. I am not sure I understood your post but there is a wonderful coffee bean company in the back of the Wayne/Strafford Farmer's Market (open Wed/Fri/Sat) where they'll grind up any combination of beans you'd like, and they've got all varieties.
I sometimes get Yrgacheffe from them -- not an easy find.
