Mexico City - Bosques de Las Lomas Recs.

I am looking for recommendations for the area of Bosques de las Lomas. Bonus for good Mexican (any type) and prefer to steer away from other types of cuisines, unless there's something extraordinary. I might be dining solo, although I suppose that does not matter.

  1. This is a tough one, Mari. I don't know ANY good Mexican restaurants in that area, and frankly, most of the restaurants in that part of Bosques are global chains.

Having said that, I have been to the restaurant linked here, but only for an event to which I was invited, where drinks and botanas--delicious botanas, I might add--were served. Mistral is part of Grupo Estoril, an old Mexico City standby, and the botanas were prepared at its main restaurant, Estoril. You'll see on the website that Mistral says it is 'Mediterreanean'.

Thank you. I want to avoid chains at all costs so I'll venture out a bit in this case.
