Review: Dinner @ Merriman's, Waimea (6/18)

We had a marvelous dinner here. Our waiter, Jim Lunchick, is also the Wine Director for the restaurant, and he was warm, friendly, and attentive -- helpful in both answering our questions about some of the entrées, and helping select our wine . . . normally I don't need help with this, but in this case, Jim suggested a wine that I had completely missed -- and it was perfect! Highly recommended!

      lamb ribs and salad as appetizers; fresh catch of the day (ono) for entrées

        Curious, what was the wine Jim recommended?
        Are you still in the islands?

          The Domaine du Salvard Cheverny Blanc -- which was on the BTG page, but not on the "regular" pages.....

          I'm back in California.
