Rec's for new range?

Anybody have a recommendation for a new 30" or 36" gas range under $2500? Agla, La Cornue and Bertazzoni are the ideal, though obviously in a different $ bracket. Anything in the secondary range both stylish and perform-centric? Jenn-Air is good but the style is a bit too 'standard.' Thanks.

  1. Curious why form over function matters to you.

completely awesome question, and simple answer: my wife is an interior designer, we're renovating the kitchen and it has to meet her aesthetic standards. obviously, i'm on board as well as I never even knew there was such thing as a 'stylish' appliance until she showed me the Agla/La Cornue ranges.

If you're the cook, then I'd head for function first and then accommodate her :) Not trying to divert your question at all, but have you eliminated induction?

The mods LOATHE it when we do this, but here's a Google link that will give you tons of info.

I've been cooking on it for a few years and love it. And I'd think a designer would go crazy with how sleek and clean it is.
